CITY COUNCIL ELECTION:  Vote on Tuesday, April 6th between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.!

BOB SEARS FOR Kirkwood City Council  Bob Sears, a resident of Altus Avenue in LOUISA HEIGHTS is running for election to Kirkwood City Council in the April 6th election.  A statement from his campaign literature says, "While businesses are vital to our community and our tax base, it is our neighborhoods that contribute most to the atmosphere and enjoyment of our town.  I will expect businesses and developers to recognize and respect our city's short and long range planning. I will protect the character of our neighborhoods and safe streets.  I will hold the proponent of a variance or zoning change to the highest standard within the law. I will not give a 'break' or 'deal' to the business entity when the neighborhood's character is threatened."   FOR MORE INFORMATION, please visit Bob's website at www.bobforkirkwood.com.  ( This space paid for by Kathy Paulsen, 401 Frieda Ave.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH:  Neighborhood watch currently is in existence for the street of Altus.  However, there is no watch program for many of the other streets in Louisa Heights.   Because neighborhood watch involves several meetings per year, it may be most manageable when broken down into blocks.  For instance, with Frieda  & Nelda Avenue having numerous residences, it would be desireable to have block captains for each of the respective 200, 300, & 400 blocks. If you are interested in helping start neighborhood watch in your block, please send an email to  info@Louisaheights.org.
